Cartanza Senora
A World War II military boat that was intentionally dropped in 1979 and then broken into 3 pieces by Hurricane Hugo in 1989. The wreck is located in Shipwreck Cove, Buck Island, and it is surrounded by tropical fish and coral. Some say the water is calm and there are no currents, making it easy to glide through the water.
Turtle Cove
Snorkeling the shipwreck at Turtle Cove offers an unforgettable underwater adventure where vibrant marine life flourishes around the decaying remains of the vessel. Divers can explore the sunken structure, which has become a thriving artificial reef. The clear waters and relatively shallow depths make it an ideal spot for both beginners and seasoned snorkelers to experience the wonders of marine history.
Christmas Cove
Snorkeling the shipwreck at Christmas Cove offers an unforgettable underwater adventure, where vibrant coral reefs surround the sunken remains of an old vessel. As you glide over the wreck, schools of tropical fish dart between the rusted beams, and the clear turquoise water provides perfect visibility. It’s a fascinating glimpse into history, with the eerie beauty of the shipwreck contrasting against the lively marine life that now calls it home.
